Surewinder
"Love this tool worth the money."
Packaging was awful
"The grease and grease gun were just tossed in with the Surewinder with no support and the grease split open and was everywhere. Aside from that, I love Surewinder."
did not recieve de package!
"The package is not in my possession yep."
"Excelente herramienta"
best tool I own
"Been doing overhead doors for 16 years Should have owned this tool years ago Works great easy to use Saving my arms back and shoulders"
Bought 3 more
"I bought a surewinder roughly 1 month prior to this purchase. I love it. I recently bought 3 more for my other 3 trucks. I love the tool. I wish the case was more fitted to the tool, but its a minor detail. I bought a more appropriate sized case online, and fitted foam inside to protect the tool better."
Unbelievable!
"If you don’t own one and you’re in the door business you’re making a mistake ,you are hurting your body. I’ve been in the business since 1984 and unfortunately didn’t hear about this tool until recently. It is a time saver for sure but so much more importantly it will save your health. This tool is an absolute no brainer to own. Thank you to the engineers that made this."
Owner of Pacific Garage Door
"I love this tool. It is much safer than using winding bars. Bars are still in my tool bucket for when needed, but this is my go to tool for springs."
Great tool
"Grate tool i need a discount code for the brutewinder."
Q&A
- It appears that you can only adjust tension in whole turns. Is that correct?
- If you need to put on 7.25 or 7.5 (for example), you would just put the fractional turn on with your hand, then insert the Surewinder into the winding cone and then proceed to put 7 turns on, and when finished you will have accomplished the 7.X turns.
- How can I add the grease to my order?
- Place the order for the grease - it will go into your shopping cart. Then shop for the Surewinder, then checkout - you should see both ready to be paid for
- Have you got one yet for truck and trailer operators
- We are actively testing a new tool we call the Freightwinder that is small enough to work in the tight spaces of truck trailers. We are still many months away from having it proven out.
- What is the part number for this item?
- We really do not use part numbers. We have only 2 products, one is the residential / light commercial Surewinder, and the other is the commercial Brutewinder.
- Can we order the bolt that goes into the cone?
- Yes. Send email to chris@surewinder.com
- Ist das Gerät kompatibel zu Hörmann Sektionaltoren.
- Ja, unsere Werkzeuge funktionieren an Hörmann-Sektionaltoren
- how do you replace the winding gear to spin the worm gear? mine is worn out on both sides and my 9/16 will no longer grab and now I can't use it
- I think you mean the hex head on the drive bolts are getting stripped, right. If so, we sell drive bolt replacement kits that you can easily install yourself with our video. Send email to chris@surewinder.com requesting this. They sells for $48
- Can this be used on Tadco box truck rolling doors?
- No. But we are in the process of building a new prototype that will work in truck roll up doors. Probably a couple of months away from testing
- curious, most techs will gap the spring slightly by hitting the winding bars to keep the spring from making popping sounds. how do you gap the string when using this tool?
- You can strike the handle to gap the spring.
